Welcome!
Our Journey: From a Home Kitchen to
Steffens Specialty Foods LLC
What started as a small, family-run, home-based pickle business has grown into something we could have only dreamed about.
Steffens Gourmet German Pickles began with a simple idea: make great pickles the way we believed they should be made — with quality ingredients, traditional techniques, bold flavors, and plenty of family pride. What started small quickly found a following at local farmers markets and among our growing community of pickle enthusiasts.
Then something incredible happened…
You wanted more pickles than we could make!
As demand continued to grow, we reached a point where our home-based operation simply couldn't keep up while maintaining the quality and consistency our customers deserved. Rather than compromise on either, we decided it was time to take the next step.
Welcome to Steffens Specialty Foods LLC
Today, we are proud to operate as Steffens Specialty Foods LLC, a woman-owned, family-driven specialty food company.
Our growth has allowed us to partner with a professional co-packer who helps us produce, package, and handle our products at the scale necessary to meet growing demand. We have worked closely with our production partner, taste-tested our recipes, and approved our final products — making sure that what comes out of our new production process still tastes like our pickles.
Because getting bigger doesn't mean losing what made us special.
Our commitment to quality, flavor, and our customers remains at the heart of everything we do.
While our production has grown beyond the home kitchen, the heart of Steffens remains very much a family affair. From developing recipes and tasting batches to working farmers markets and talking with our customers, we're still one family, one team, and one small business with a big dream.
And we're not stopping here.
Our goal is to take the flavors you've discovered at the farmers market and make them available to even more people. Hopefully, before long, you'll be able to walk into your local grocery store and find Steffens Gourmet German Pickles sitting on the shelf!
From our family to yours, thank you for helping us get here.
One team. One family. One pickle at a time.
